The AI grades answers. People make decisions.
We use AI in our screening engine and we’re not shy about it. We’re also not vague about it. This page says exactly what the technology does, what it never does, and what every candidate can count on. Plain English, because that’s the point.
A human makes every hiring decision. No exceptions.
No candidate is hired by our software, and no candidate is rejected by it either. The engine reads, listens, grades, and ranks. Then it hands its work to a person. Advancing someone, passing on someone, every one of those calls is made by a human being who can see the full record and can overrule any score in either direction. A high grade has never guaranteed advancement and a low grade has never been an automatic no.
What the engine does
- Asks every applicant for a role the same real questions
- Grades every written and spoken answer against the same bar
- Transcribes recorded interviews so every grade has a receipt
- Ranks candidates into a short list for a human to review
- Flags what it could not assess, so a person asks about it live
What it never does
- Never hires or rejects anyone on its own
- Never analyzes faces, appearance, background, or body language
- Never claims to detect lies, emotions, or personality
- Never uses age, race, gender, or any protected trait. Ever.
- Never buries a decision it can’t show its work for
Every grade is backed by a recorded answer.
Every written answer is stored. Every recorded interview is transcribed. When the engine grades a response, the grade points back to the exact answer it came from, often down to the quoted sentence. If a candidate or a client ever wants to know why a score is what it is, we don’t explain the algorithm. We show the transcript. Disputes get settled by the record, and an audit trail logs every step from application to decision.
What every applicant can count on.
Consent first
- Candidates are told AI is part of the screen before it starts
- Nobody is graded by the engine without agreeing to it
- The consent is logged, with a timestamp
A human path, always
- Any candidate can ask to be screened without AI grading
- Asking for the human path never counts against anyone
- Same questions, same bar, evaluated by a person
Answers on request
- Candidates can ask what was recorded and how it was used
- Adverse decisions are reviewed by a person before they’re final
- Questions get answered by a human, in plain English
Consistency is the product. Trust is the price of admission.
The entire reason our clients use the engine is that it treats applicant number 3 and applicant number 78 identically: same questions, same bar, no gut feel, no Friday-afternoon mood swings. That only means something if the system is worth trusting. So we keep the technology in the seat it belongs in, grading answers and doing the grind, while people keep the seat that matters, making the call. We built it this way on purpose, and we’ll keep it this way on purpose.

Draft under review by employment counsel. Wording may be refined; the commitments won’t.
Watch the standard do its job.
We ran our own sales hire through this exact process: 80 applicants, every answer recorded and graded, humans making every call. The full funnel is on the record.
